Mother of Mercy - "Icon" Print
Painted around 1630 by an unknown artist, Our Lady of the Gate of Dawn is one of the most beloved images in the city of Vilnius, Lithuania. In 1927, the image was canonically crowned as Mother of Mercy.
Then, in 1935, the Original Image of Divine Mercy, painted by Eugene Kazimierowski under the guidance of St. Faustina, was put on display for public veneration for the first time in the Chapel of the Gate of Dawn and the two images have been closely related ever since.
Our "Icon" style print is mounted on solid mahogany and bordered with gold paint.
It measures 10"x12" along the outside edges. The image itself measures 8"x10"
